A camera shot that i think is really effective is a point of view shot, we are shown what one of the main characters can see as he is falling out of the sky. This makes the audience feel like they are part of the film as they have seen what a part of the film is like through the life of one of the characters. The pace of editing for this trailer is quite fast this is effective because its allowing the audience to know that there is going to be something heart racing and dangerous in the film.
In the trailer the first thing you hear is how they have managed to be together in a group, this is good as they have such a different characteristics it helps the audience to understand why and how they have come together. In the beginning of the trailer they all have their unique way dressing you have the jock, the popular girl, the quiet in the background girl and the germaphobia, as the trailer goes on and they get sucked into the game they all switch roles in a way, so they all learn a lesson and learns how they all live everyday.
By the trailer we find out that the story line of the film is that there is a group of kids that don't know each other and wouldn't talk to them if they passed in the corridor all go on a adventure to get back home and become friends along the way. In the trailer we find out that the genre of the film is going to be action due to the explosions and fighting in it, then also adventure due to the fact that they go on an adventure in a jungle.
