A bad mums christmas
In this trailer the camera shot that I find most effective is a long shot of a family around the Christmas tree decorating i. It's effective because it shows a normal family enjoying the Christmas magic. Another camera shot that I think is relatively good is a medium shot of one of the Mum carrying loads of press ta piled up one on top of each other, this is effective because it allows the audience to see a parent struggling, it makes the audience think that she is just like everyone else in the world. The pace of editing isn't slow but it also isn't fast, it allows you to see just the right amount of the scene this is effective because it allows the audience to understand what the film is about.
In the trailer sound is used in a clever way by using a Christmas song it sets the scene as a Christmas film, it's quite enough so you can hear the main character talking about everything the holiday is about. When the music drps it's clear that something bad is about to happen, this is effective because it makes the audience want to know what's going to happen.
The characters clothing was a everyday mums clothing which made the character more believable, this is effective as it helps all parents watching connect with the actors playing the characters. When the parents of the main characters turned up the was all dressed up in classy clothing.
From the trailer we are able to tell that the storyline of the film is it's based around a group of mums trying to make it through Christmas but then their mums turn up to make their lives ten times more difficult. We can tell that the genre of the film is going to be a comedy due to the fact of the kids joking around and doing stupid things and by the parents reaction to everyone's comments.
